These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made from ILWAAD SHOP LIMITED through our website, payment links, invoices, consultations or other approved sales channels.
By placing an order with ILWAAD, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with any product-specific information shown at the time of purchase.
1. Orders
All orders are subject to acceptance by ILWAAD.
An order is normally confirmed once:
- payment has been successfully received;
- your order has been accepted by us; and
- where required, we have received the information needed to proceed.
This may include measurements, tailoring choices, colour selections, customisation details or design confirmations.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where there has been an obvious pricing error, product availability issue, payment problem or other reasonable operational issue.
2. Production Timeframes
Each product page will show an estimated production or delivery timeframe.
The timeframe displayed at the time you place your order will apply to your purchase unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
Production timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on:
- the design selected;
- tailoring requirements;
- customisation;
- availability of materials;
- information required from the customer; and
- other circumstances affecting production.
Courier transit time is additional unless the product page expressly states otherwise.
3. Wedding & Event Dates
Customers are responsible for allowing sufficient time between placing an order and their wedding or event date.
Providing your wedding date does not automatically create a guaranteed delivery deadline.
A date will only be treated as guaranteed where ILWAAD has expressly confirmed this in writing.
If your wedding date is close to the stated production timeframe, please contact us before placing your order.
4. Tailoring & Measurements
Where tailoring or made-to-measure services apply, customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements.
Our measurement guide will be provided after your order has been placed.
Bridal wear will be produced based on the measurements and specifications supplied and accepted.
Where a garment has been correctly produced according to the measurements supplied by the customer, ILWAAD cannot be responsible for fit issues caused solely by inaccurate measurements.
5. Custom, Bespoke & Personalised Orders
Some ILWAAD products are made specifically for the individual customer.
This may include:
- made-to-measure garments;
- tailored garments;
- custom colours;
- bespoke designs;
- altered lengths or widths;
- personalised sizing; and
- other substantial customisation.
These items may not be eligible for cancellation or return simply because the customer has changed their mind.
If a personalised or bespoke order is already in production, ILWAAD may still agree to a cancellation at our discretion.
Any cancellation accepted may be subject to a charge to cover costs already incurred, including fabric, embellishments, tailoring, design work or other production costs.
6. Product Variations
Many ILWAAD items are handmade or involve specialist production processes.
Minor variations may occur in:
- colour;
- stone placement;
- beadwork;
- embroidery;
- lace patterns;
- fabric texture;
- dye batches; and
- finishing.
These normal variations do not necessarily mean that an item is faulty.
Colours may also appear differently on screens due to display settings, lighting and photography.
7. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping charges shown at checkout cover the cost of sending your order from the UK to the delivery destination.
Delivery times provided by couriers are estimates unless otherwise stated.
Once your order has been dispatched, tracking information may be provided where available.
Customers are responsible for providing the correct delivery address.
If an incorrect address is supplied, additional delivery or redirection charges may apply.
8. Customs & Import Charges
Orders delivered outside the UK may be subject to customs duty, import VAT, local taxes or clearance charges.
These charges are separate from the shipping fee paid to ILWAAD and are determined by the destination country.
ILWAAD does not control customs or import charges.
9. Returns & Refunds
Eligible returns are subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Standard, non-personalised items may have different cancellation rights from bespoke, tailored or made-to-measure items.
Customers should contact us before returning an item so that the correct return instructions can be provided.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless ILWAAD agrees otherwise in writing.
10. Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you believe your order is faulty, incorrect or materially not as described, please contact us at:
Please provide:
- your full name;
- order number;
- details of the issue; and
- photographs or video where appropriate.
11. Order Changes
Requests to change an existing order should be made as soon as possible.
This may include changes to:
- measurements;
- colour;
- tailoring;
- customisation;
- delivery address; or
- other order details.
A requested amendment is only confirmed once ILWAAD has accepted it in writing.
Changes may not be possible once production has materially progressed and may result in additional charges or a longer production timeframe.
12. Bridal Consultations
Bridal consultations are subject to the booking terms shown at the time of booking.
Consultation fees are non-refundable.
Where stated, the consultation fee may be credited towards a qualifying bridal purchase.
Rescheduling requests are subject to availability.
13. Payments
Payment must be made using an approved payment method.
Orders will not normally enter production until the required payment has been received.
Where a payment is reversed, disputed or subject to a chargeback, ILWAAD reserves the right to provide the relevant order records, customer communications, delivery information, customisation details and other evidence to the payment provider.
14. Intellectual Property
All ILWAAD original designs, bridal concepts, photographs, videos, product descriptions, graphics, branding and website content are owned by or licensed to ILWAAD SHOP LIMITED.
Our work may not be copied, reproduced, commercially replicated, closely imitated, manufactured, republished or used by another business without our prior written permission.
Purchasing an ILWAAD item does not transfer ownership of the design or associated intellectual property.
15. Website Information
We aim to ensure that information on our website is accurate.
However, occasional errors may occur in product descriptions, prices, availability or other content.
Where an obvious error is identified, we reserve the right to correct it and, where necessary, contact the customer before proceeding with the order.
16. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We will not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These may include:
- courier disruption;
- customs delays;
- severe weather;
- strikes;
- transport disruption;
- international conflict;
- border restrictions;
- supplier delays; or
- other unforeseen events.
Where possible, we will keep customers informed and take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.
